“I was 23 years old when I was arrested and 24 when I was convicted and sentenced. Today I am 50. I had a parole hearing interview in April 2004 and my presumptive release date is May 6, 2033.  If I live that long, I will be 77 years old, with no social security, no insurance and no source of income.
